To all my fellow Filipinos , I know well that all of you recognize this monument, since we started from our very first grade in anywhere in the Philippines, we were taught about who is the man standing on this monument. Yes! I know that you recognize him, but did it ever came in your mind that you will find his monument in one of the countries in Europe ? Here we go , I am so pleased to tell that this photo of his monument was taken in Madrid, It is located not far from the University where he did his medical study. Isn't it so amazing and so inspiring that we find his monument also in the country of Spain, before I never thought that it would be possible as we all knew he fought for the right of filipinos before against the Spanish. But now see? they even mange to make his monument , and take note guys in Madrid you can also find a place called Avenida de Filipinas.
Below is a photo of the University de Madrid (but now the name of the school changed) where Rizal have done his study way back 1890.
If you guys are visiting Madrid and you want to take the chance to visit his monument, just take the Metro and stop in Islas Filipinas, and when you go out , try to find the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.and from there continue walking and after you will reach the monument.
